Welcome from Flickr!

Whether you’ve already settled into Trovebox or are still undecided, this guide is for you. Let’s take a look around, sign up today or sign in and export your Flickr photos.

Choose where to store your photos

When you upload a photo to Flickr that photo gets uploaded to Flickr’s servers, and there’s no choice in the matter. At Trovebox you can choose where to store your photos. If you want to store your photos with us, that’s fine. Or your can store them in your own storage account. We currently support Amazon S3, Dropbox, CX, and DreamHost Dreamobjects, and you can switch where you store your photos anytime.

But that doesn’t mean much if your Flickr photos aren’t here. Which leads to…

Export your photos from Flickr

If you’re a longtime Flickr user you probably have years of photos stored there. We make it easy to export your photos from Flickr while retaining your info. All your titles, descriptions, sets (as albums), licenses, privacy settings, tags, and any locations you’ve attached to photos get exported with your photos.

Bonus: you can export your photos from Facebook (including the ones you’re tagged in) and Instagram too.

Get photo and site stats with Google Analytics

RIP Flickr stats (unless you’re still a Flickr Pro user). Here at Trovebox you can use Google Analytics with your Trovebox site. Sign up for a Google Analytics account if you haven’t already, then head to your Trovebox settings. Enter your Google Analytics site ID and you’ll have stats galore.

Add multiple users to your account

Want to let a family member or friend upload photos to your account? Trovebox lets you do that without handing over your password. Users can add more users to their account, and these collaborators can log in with their own passwords. These users can upload photos, edit photos, and add photos to albums–just about anything except delete the account.

Use your own domain at Trovebox

Chances are you don’t own the flickr.com name. But at Trovebox you can own the domain you use for your photos. If you’re on the Gold or Platinum plan and own a domain name, you can use that domain (or a subdomain) with your photos. So you can tell your friends to visit companyname.trovebox.com or yoursubdomain.yourdomain.com. Both will work.

A word about our plans…

We have two plans you can choose from, Free and Pro.

Users can choose where to store their photos, export from Facebook and Instagram, and access our mobile apps for iPhone and Android. Free users can upload up to 100 photos per month, while Pro account holders can take advantage of unlimited uploads.

No matter what plan you choose you can always access all the photos you’ve uploaded, and you’ll always be able to download the high-resolution original file.

You can read more about our plans at our plans page.

We’re here to help

We’re a small team, but we’re working hard to make your photo experience a positive one. If you have any questions about the site, contact us at support@trovebox.com or @trovebox on Twitter.
