Trovebox For Groups Beta

Trovebox is an online photo and video management service for businesses that is used by small businesses, non-profits and enterprises. We offer secure photo sharing, group photo collaboration features, multi-user accounts and whitelabeling. Learn more about Trovebox and see our pricing plans.

UPDATE: Groups are now included in all Trovebox plans.

It’s been a long time coming and we’re happy to announce Trovebox for Groups.

Here’s a few folks that Trovebox for Groups was not built for.

  • Dogs, they can’t even take photos
  • Children under the age of 13 (unless they get their parents’ permission)
  • Adults over the age of 115 (that’s the oldest person living)

Who should use Groups?

Groups will help any team or organization manage, collect and share photos. The easiest way to talk about Groups is to provide some examples.

Non-profit organizations

We work with many non-profit organizations by helping them collect photos taken by different people from numerous events. There’s typically a single organizer who creates albums and then gives others access to view and upload to those albums by using Groups.

Businesses of all sizes

Groups work just as well for an organization with 5 people as it does for 500. Many businesses have unique requirements and you’d be surprised how easily we’re able to support them. If you have any special needs then drop us an email at support@trovebox.com.

Families

Let’s face it, families are basically small companies and mom’s usually the CEO. Families can use Groups to collect photos from all the phones and cameras that were used to take photos during your last vacation.

Common questions about Groups

We’ll be publishing a detailed overview of Groups as we launch it more broadly but here’s a primer.

When will Groups be available?

PRO users can start using Groups today. Just click the link to their right to get started.

In the coming weeks we’ll be updating our plans page and announcing pricing for Groups.

How do users gain access to their group?

Users receive an email when you add them to a group. The email has instructions on signing in to your Trovebox site. Once signed in they’ll immediately have access to what you’ve granted them.

Can Group members access my account from the mobile apps?

For now, group members can only access your site from the website. We’ll be announcing mobile app support very shortly.

What about collaborators?

Our existing collaborators feature will be renamed administrators. Just like adding a user to a group; administrators will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to access your Trovebox site. And yes, they’ll have a handy link to set their own password.

Administrators have full access to your account. Beyond a few exceptions, like deleting your account, the rule of thumb is if you can do it, so can your administrators.

If you’re already a PRO user you’ll continue to have access to this feature.

Will Groups be part of the existing PRO account?

We’ve got a few more tricks up our sleeve and will be announcing some other major features and a new set of plans.

Groups are geared mainly for organizations so the pricing will reflect that but as always we incorporate customer feedback in all of our decisions.

We’d love to hear from you
