Trovebox is an online photo and video management service for businesses that is used by small businesses, non-profits and enterprises. We offer secure photo sharing, group photo collaboration features, multi-user accounts and whitelabeling. Learn more about Trovebox and see our pricing plans.
Here at Trovebox our mission is to help you store all your photos in one place. We offer a set of easy-to-use exporters from sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Flickr to help you out with this. Let’s explore these in more detail.
Export your photos from Facebook
To start exporting your Facebook photos to Trovebox, visit our Facebook export page. This link is also available from your photo upload page.
Click Connect with Facebook. You’ll see a popup window from Facebook asking you to connect to our app. This will let us export your photos, as well as any photos you’re tagged in if you choose that option.
(Don’t see a popup? Make sure your browser has popups enabled.)
Approve the app and off we go to export your photos! Sit back and relax. We’ll send you an email when the export is complete.
What gets exported? Photos uploaded, cover photos (optional), profile photos (optional), photos you’re tagged in (optional), titles, privacy, location, albums, user tags (as tags)
Export your photos from Instagram
Have a lot of photos on Instagram? We can export your Instagram photos in a few clicks.
Visit our Instagram export page and click Connect with Instagram. You’ll be redirected to Instagram so you can grant us access to your Instagram account. Once you grant us access, you’ll come back to Trovebox and the export will begin. You’ll get an email once the export is complete.
What gets exported? Images, titles, hashtags (as tags), and location
Export your photos from Flickr
If you have a lot of photos in Flickr we can import your photos and data to your Trovebox site. Visit our Flickr exporter to get started. Since importing from Flickr is a Pro feature, you’ll need to upgrade to a Trovebox Pro account before getting started here.
Once you have, the Connect with Flickr button will appear. Click it, and we’ll direct you to Flickr and ask for read-only access to your Trovebox account. Approve the app and you’ll get redirected back to the Trovebox site, where your export will begin.
Sit back and relax–we’ll send you an email when the export is complete.
What gets exported? Images, titles, descriptions, camera info, location, privacy, sets (as albums), tags, license info
Import your photos from an existing Amazon S3 bucket
Were you already storing your photos in an S3 bucket before Trovebox? Import all of those photos into Trovebox easily.
Visit our S3 importer. We’ll ask to connect to your S3 bucket when you click Connect. Enter your S3 bucket info and let the importing begins. As with all our other importers, we’ll email you when the import is complete.
What gets imported? We use the data you’ve already included in your photos, including titles, descriptions, dates, and tags, to populate your photos with data so you don’t have to.
More exporters are coming
If the site with all your photos isn’t listed here, email us at support@trovebox.com or tell us at @trovebox where your photos are. We’re working on more exporters to help you keep all your photos safe, and knowing where your photos are helps immensely.
We’ll feature a more immediate solution for some sites in a future post. Stay tuned!
